Pennsylvania’s First Congressional District is the second hungriest in the nation. The district includes Kensington, parts of North and South Philadelphia, and Chester. About 50% of households with children in this district suffer from hunger. This is based on a recent FRAC report that analyzes data from a survey of more than one million people conducted over three years by the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index project. The poll is among the largest ever taken.
